[SDCBeeks] SDC Beekeepers May Meeting This Thursday 5/22

Hello SDC members,

We will be having our third SDC Beekeepers meeting of the 2025 season this month on Thursday, May 22, starting at 6:30 PM.

This month’s agenda:

     	• One of our members, Felly Montelya, will share about her recent trip to work bees in Texas
	• Feeding our bees, if necessary, during the time of dearth.
	• Members who have swarm stories or split stories to share would be great!
     	• We will once again, spend a portion of the time in smaller discussion groups, one for top bar beekeepers and one for Langstroth beekeepers
     	• Questions and answers of course

There will be free smoker fuel available to all attendees.

In addition, this month for the first time we will be offering an early session from 6:00-6:30, dedicated to new beekeepers who can benefit from more basic information about hive inspections and such.  Everyone can choose to come at either 6:00 or at 6:30.

Our monthly meetings are held at St John’s Methodist Church located at 1200 Old Pecos Trail…..in the Choir Room.

We will attempt to add folks who cannot join in person via Zoom, however the best way to participate is to join us in person.
