<div style="direction: ltr;">I am a recent addition to your club and this is my first entry. I have been looking for an organization whose focus is bee keeping as I am a novice with much to learn.

<div style="direction: ltr;">This past year I had the opportunity to watch over a hive of bees a friend and local beekeeper from Stanley, NM put in my garden. I have a four acre garden that is quite diverse. The bees were a joy to live with and I always want
them to be a part of my life. Over the spring and summer of this year I lost my fear of bee stings, bought a spiffy bee suit to help me with that fear and have spent hours reading about bees and watching Frederick Dunn on Utube. Bees have become my passion.

I'm very excited that everyone is moving over. The yahoo system was<br>
terribly awkward and broken (from my experience, anyways). It will only<br>
continue to get worse. The new mailing list is implemented using a Free<br>
Software (<a href="https://www.fsf.org/about/what-is-free-software">https://www.fsf.org/about/what-is-free-software</a>) project<br>
called Mailman (<a href="https://www.gnu.org/software/mailman">https://www.gnu.org/software/mailman</a>). It is very<br>
robust, easy to use and gives us full control over the system. The<br>
website (<a href="https://sdcbeeks.org">https://sdcbeeks.org</a>) is also built with Free Software, a<br>
project called Wordpress. All standards based, future proof and solid<br>
systems. A good foundation to build on.<br>
