[SDCBeeks] Reminder: SDC Beekeepers June Meeting Tonight

Hello SDC members,

We will be having our fourth SDC Beekeepers meeting of the 2025 season this month on Thursday, June 26, starting at 6:30 PM.

This month’s agenda:

     	• The recent honey bee transport accident in Washington Sate
	• A serious africanized bee attack in Albuquerque last week
	• How our colonies change after the summer solstice
	• Are your colonies in a dearth or in a nectar flow?
     	• We will try to spend a portion of the time in smaller discussion groups, one for top bar beekeepers and one for Langstroth beekeepers
     	• Questions and answers of course

In addition, once again his month,we will be offering an early session from 6:00-6:30, dedicated to new beekeepers who can benefit from more basic information about hive inspections and such.  Everyone can choose to come at either 6:00 or at 6:30.

Our monthly meetings are held at St John’s Methodist Church located at 1200 Old Pecos Trail…..in the Choir Room.

We will attempt to add folks who cannot join in person via Zoom, however the best way to participate is to join us in person.
