[SDCBeeks] Reminder: SDC Beekeepers June Meeting Tonight

Last night was my first SDC meeting and I thoroughly enjoyed it; thank you, all!   

I just experienced something pretty crazy that I have never seen in my 365 years in Santa Fe and maybe some of the more knowledgeable bee people can tell me what this is. I was hiking in the Arroyo behind Museum Hill and came across this large patch of what looked like ant holes. It was about 5 feet away from a Cholla cactus fully in bloom, so there were lots of bees around the cactus. I bent down to take a close-up photo of the holes and noticed that bees were darting in and out of them. What type of bee is that? I tried to take a video of the bees popping in and out of the holes, but was unsuccessful.  I will attach photos.
